    Model United Nations (MUN) is an educational simulation where students role-play as delegates representing different countries in UN committees. They debate global issues, draft resolutions, and work towards consensus, enhancing skills like diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking.

  • How do I choose which country to represent in MUN?

    Choose a country based on your interest in its foreign policies, its involvement in the agenda topics, or your familiarity with its history and culture. It's also a good idea to pick a country that has significant influence or a unique stance on the issues being discussed.

  • What is a position paper?

    A position paper is a document summarizing a country's stance on the topics being discussed, including past actions and proposed solutions. It helps delegates clarify their arguments, facilitates negotiation, and is required for awards.

  • What is the dress code for MUN?

    The dress code for MUN is Western Business Attire to maintain a formal and professional environment. Avoid jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, or bright and distracting patterns.

  • Who can attend MUN?

    MUN is open and welcome to all delegates. Typically it is for delegates in grades 9~12, but there are no conditions as for who can and cannot attend.

  • How do I prepare for a MUN?

    To prepare for a conference, follow these benchmarks:

    - Understand your nation/delegation’s policies

    - Understand the topic/agenda

    - Practice speaking to a crowd (or in front of friends & family)

    - Learn MUN terminology and procedures

  • How long will conferences be?

    Each committee sessions will be roughly around 1 hour, with the entire iteration taking 1 entire day. Delegates will be provided with lunch at noon in the Executive Plaza Hotel.

  • What are the procedures?

    All procedures for speeches, debates and flow of conference will be listed here.
